Surface Area Sizes of Intravitreal Copper Particles: their Effects on the ERG of Rabbits and Rats, fact that copper has been alloyed with other metals, thus changing its toxicity (Schmidt, Blettenberg & Vogelsang, 1975). Another influencing factor is the localization of the foreign body (Schmidt, 1977), since the concentration of oxygen as the main oxidizer in the ocular region varies greatly.
