Improvement of Secondary Zinc Electrodesy acetylene black inserted into the active material was the main modifier of the zinc electrodes. Metallized polypropylene fabric with a favourable morphology was a suitable matrix for zinc material. Cycle life enhancement of the improved Zn electrodes was confirmed for Ag-Zn and Ni-Zn accumulators.

Modelling the Phenomena Associated with the Application of Centrifugal Fields in Fused Salt Electrole feasibility of the technique applied to light metal electrowinning, a low temperature hydrodynamic model was constructed. Almost complete separation of simulated products was achieved by the semi-rigorous physical model using electrode spacings as small as 10 mm at rotation speeds of only 40 rpm.

The Anodic Oxidation of Vanadium — a Possible Technical Application of Electrochemical Fixed Bed Reaations, with the help of a mathematical fixed bed reactor model, a process quantification was carried out for a given oxidation capacity. Parametric studies allowed process conditions and cell design to be optimized. The results show that the electrical energy costs are relatively low and are not a limiting factor in the processing.
