Polymer-Based Amperometric Biosensors,(CMEs) is tailoring the electrode surface for improved quantitative and qualitative detection of a particular analyte. This is due to the high selectivity of the electrode surface for catalytic, ion-exchange or complexation reactions, improvements in permselectivity, or high specificity due to incorporating various biocomponents.
