Investigating Viability of Dielectrophoretically Trapped Neuronal Cells,Trapping neurons by negative dielectrophoretic forces means that they are repelled from the regions of high electric field strength. It may therefore be expected that, even though membrane breakdown may occur at these high field strengths, cells do not necessarily have to be damaged irreversibly while being trapped.
