Introduction,The wide spread of battery-powered new technologies such as smart phones, tablets computers and electric vehicles (EV) are forcing the development of more efficient and powerful battery chargers. The key technology to satisfy these requirements are the switched-mode DC-DC converters, which are used to “pump” the charging current into the battery.
