Mud Volcanoes,r more than 1 km. The largest eruptions deliver mud to the surface from depths that exceed more than 1 km (Kopf, 2002). In this chapter we focus on the larger eruptions; small eruptions that originate in the shallowest subsurface are manifestations of the ‘traditional’ liquefaction discussed in Chap. 2.
