描述IAU Colloquium 165, .Dynamics and Astrometry of Natural andArtificial. .Celestial Bodies., was held in Poznan,Poland, in July 1996, bringing together over 200 scientists from 27countries who discussed their work in 179 oral and posterpresentations. The present volume contains 83 of the papers presentedat the meeting. .The meeting brought together specialists from diverse fields whofocused on the very close collaboration between dynamics andastrometry, where one discipline contributes to the progress of theother. .The oral sessions were organized into general categories pertainingto: .solar system dynamics; ..newobservational techniques, catalogues, and astrometry; ..dynamicsand observational problems of artificial satellites and space debris;..rotation of solar system objects; ..reference systems andastronomical standards; ..new mathematical techniques; ..andthree all-day poster sessions... .This volume is divided into seven parts, comprising 83 contributions,a list of participants and an index.

Earth Rotation in the Hipparcos Reference Frame the solution (celestial pole offsets, rheological parameters of the Earth, certain instrumental constants). The mathematical model of the solution is described, and the results based on the observations made with 46 instruments at 29 observatories and a preliminary Hipparcos catalog are presented.

Rosetta Radio Science Investigationsucture, the composition and roughness of the nucleus surface, the abundance of large dust grains and the plasma content in the coma and the combined dust and gas mass flux on the orbiter. RSI will make use of the radio subsystem of the Rosetta spacecraft.

The combination of radar and optical angle data taken at close Earth distances just before a spacecraft encounter can result in surprisingly small target body ephemeris uncertainties.
