Comparison with Neo-Classical Theory, Helander (Phys Plasmas 13:102505, 2006), and Wong et al. (Phys Plasmas 15:082503, 2008) and have been incorporated into a variety of codes including NCLASS, HAGIS, NEOART and NEO. In Sect. 4.3, edge poloidal asymmetries will be addressed.

Momentum Sources,mbipolar radial particle shifts or orbit losses (Sect. 2.2), the latter due to toroidal magnetic field ripple for example. Direct rotation drive can be from neutral beam injection, transfer of momentum from radio frequency waves (ICRF, LH or EC) or from neutral gas or compact torus injection.
