Discrete Fourier Transform,FT is often used in its computation. The properties of the DFT are very useful in the analysis of signals, as in the case of all transforms. As in the case of the orthogonal transforms, the power of a signal can be computed in its DFT representation also.

Infinite Impulse Response Filters,he frequency range is restricted in digital filters due to sampling. This creates a problem called warping. Still, practical filters can be designed using the transformation method. In this chapter, examples of design of lowpass, highpass, bandpass, and bandreject filters are presented.
