The analysis of left ventricular function with digital subtraction angiographyr dynamics [2–9]. These results, in turn, initiated a widespread clinical evaluation of the use of this imaging modality in cardiac diagnosis. The purpose of this chapter is to summarize the recent applications of digital subtraction angiography in the quantitative assessment of global and regional left ventricular function.

Clinical applications of cardiac CT This chapter will summarize the clinical utility of this new imaging modality as it is applied using currently available body scanners. The future of the technique will also be discussed in the context of development of new ultrafast CT scanners which are now commercially available.

The abbreviated term we have used to describe this subject is myocardial ‘flow-function relations’.

Future directions and integrative approaches in digital cardiac imaging basic cardiac pathophysiology which has undoubtedly contributed to the impressive decline in cardiovascular mortality in recent years [1]. Precise anatomic diagnosis, physiologic assessment, and accurate prognosis have been made available by these new technologies.
