Epilepsyelopment, neoplasms, and vascular lesions. More recently described entities such as amygdala enlargement and immune-mediated encephalitis are also presented. DWI adds value to epilepsy evaluation particularly by detecting different patterns of postictal cytotoxic edema. Furthermore, DTI is routinely used as part of presurgical brain mapping.
