Methodological Progress in Pancreatic Enzyme Determinationent of a definite diagnosis requires the determination of pancreatic enzymes, in particular that of amylase and/or lipase. Other enzymes of the pancreas are liberated into the circulation as well, but only amylase and lipase can be measured in their active form with suitable methods within a relatively short time.
