Characterisation of Oxidised Polyolefines by Reaction with Sulphur Dioxide,been developed based on reactions with sulphur dioxide; these give insights regarding the sites of oxidative attack. The formation of sulphur-containing groups is considered in relation to attack on polyolefines by sulphuric acids and the mode of action of sulphur-containing antioxidants.
