Daniel I. Shapiro,Huijun Li,Larry J. Seidman preparation techniques and x-ray radiation measurement techniques can be used to reduce or remove the difficulties. Techniques examined are: dilution, addition of an absorbing substance, internal standardization, standard addition, and x-ray radiation-intensity ratios.

The Use of Ammonium Perchlorate with the Hydrogen-Argon-Entrained Air Flame in Atomic Absorption Spetained with an acetylene-air flame. The presence of a copper, iron, or nickel matrix obliterates the signal from elements studied in the H.AA flame. The presence of ammonium perchlorate does not completely eliminate the matrix effect.

Analysis of the Cornea of the Eye with the Electron Microprober corneal epithelium, approximately 50 . in thickness, in ca. 100 times normal concentration. The calcium concentration in the remainder of the cornea was normal, with the exception of minute areas of high concentration. Phosphorus was present in the band in high concentrations, but was not found in the smaller calcium-rich areas.
