Data Synchronization Patterns,her (keeping the data in sync)—in our case, Salesforce. Data can flow from one system to another, and back. Sometimes this causes data conflicts that must be dealt with. Getting synchronizations working right can be tricky, particularly when there are heavy transformations and/or summarizations involved.

FAQs (aka Frequently Asked Questions),esforce data migrations and integrations, as well as a few less common but interesting ones. Most of this stuff can probably be inferred by reading the first 12 chapters of this book, and quite a bit of this stuff is stated outright in the section covering the subject at hand. Regardless, it’s good to review. So, without further ado . . . .

Lynette Kvasny,Eileen M. Trauth denormalization. The question, then, is how far from Edger Codd’s vision can we go and still consider our data model normalized? I would say that Salesforce is way past that line. I searched quite a bit for an official statement from Salesforce stating that it’s not a relational database, and this is the best I could find:

Citizen Innovation in Fab Cities current situation or use case. And even if they do, it’s perfectly valid to decide that the benefit of doing something does not justify the effort involved. You don’t want to overwork yourself for very limited gain.
