Solving Rate Equations,in this chapter with advice on their application. Three different numerical integration methods are presented, which can give the approximate solution of any rate equation. The fundamentals of least squares curve fitting are also described, and methods for calculating standard errors and correlation coefficients are also given.

Book 2015ing rate equations such as the pre-equilibrium or the steady-state approach are still valid and necessary as they concern the information content of measured kinetic traces. The book shows the role of these approximations in modern kinetics and will also describe some common misconceptions in this field.
