Line Segmentation of Handwritten Documents Using Direct Tensor Voting,y conducting voting directly on the binary image. The lines of text are then tracked and labeled using the local maxima found in the tensor field produced during the voting process. The performance of the algorithm is checked on the data-set and using the procedure proposed by the organizers of the ICDAR2009 competition.

Performance Analysis of a Real-Time Data Warehouse System Implementation Based on Open-Source Technhouse in a real-time regime. Results were conducted for datasets containing over one million records with a simulated system load such as continuous data warehouse queries in the background. The obtained results lead to the conclusion that building an efficient real-time data warehouse system is possible using free open-source tools.
