Degradable polymers in waste and litter control,ired to degrade is considered and it is argued that, if they are carefully designed to degrade in a controlled manner, they should cause no problems during use or in any of the alternative waste management procedures. These include municipal composting, materials recycling, incineration, pyrolysis and sanitary landfill.
