Linear Viscoelastic Deformation Under Three-Dimensional Stresses,duced in Cartesian, cylindrical and polar coordinates. The strain tensor for small deformations is defined and the rheological equations of state for isotropic linear visco-elastic materials at small deformations are discussed. Simple shear, isotropic compression and uniaxial extension are treated as examples.

Shear Rheology,experiments in shear are presented and the rheological quantities obtained from them are discussed. Interrelations between rheological functions from different experiments are described. Special attention is dedicated to capillary rheometry and its importance for processing.

Rheological Properties and Molecular Structure,of these molecular parameters on the uniaxial elongational behavior of polymer melts is discussed. The rheological behavior of polymer melts is significantly governed by the structure of the molecules which for a given chemical composition is described by the molar mass distribution and the architecture of the polymer chain.
