Crosstalk Mitigation in WDM Systems: Experiment,lk level per channel is around —15 dB. This result demonstrates the feasibility of optical networking employing integrated switching technologies by using phase scrambling to increase the tolerance towards interferometric crosstalk.

Performance Monitoring Techniques,m data decorrelation criterion is used to separate the WDM channels from a set of multi-channel photocurrents. Although this chapter shows an accurate separation of four WDM channels, we believe that this method can also be applied for monitoring a larger number of WDM channels.
