Helmut Stache,Heinrich Großmann, as well as decision making and recognition models identifies the most important aspects needed in a computational model for novelty detection. Our cognitive model for novelty detection has three components: (a) a perceptual surprise of an idea which combines the individual surprise of each word wi

Helmut Stache,Heinrich Großmann.A crucial innovation in the IDEA model is the use of texts by individual authors to infer the conceptual associative structure of the authors’ mental lexicon and to instantiate IDEA networks with this inferred structure. The resulting network’s dynamics is then able to generate conceptual combinati

In this context, implicit learning refers to agents acquiring new concepts and modifying conceptual associations by hearing about them from peers rather than by explicit instruction or active search. Arguably, such learning accounts for a large part of knowledge—co

The main distinctive features of this book are the breadth of perspectives considered, the integration of experiments with theory, and a focus on the combinatorial emergence of ideas..978-3-030-77198-0Series ISSN 1860-0832 Series E-ISSN 1860-0840

Intergroup and Network Creativity, and faultlines can limit the motivation to tap ideas from other groups. We discuss the factors that can facilitate intergroup exchange and the role of network characteristics and brokers or boundary spanners. The results of a research project on intergroup creativity are presented, and we outline a new model for intergroup creativity.
