Basic Facts of Classical Analysis relationships are negatively related to a protégé’s stock of social capital and that later mentoring relationships are positively related to a protégé’s stock of social capital. We call for a contingency approach to studying how mentoring relationships affect career outcomes and discuss implications for future research.

We suggest that Corporate Social Capital refers to the resources, inherent in the social structure, that accrue to corporate actors. Social structure refers to a network of actors who are in some way connected via a set of relationships.
