Witnessing the Body: Corporeal Conversions, are attributed to divine or demonic influence, and used to determine whether a convert belongs to a particular religious community. This is followed by an analysis of converts who weep excessively and eat strange substances, and converts who choreograph their body’s movements in order to substantiate their conversion or will it into being.
