Background on Analysis and Control of Nonlinear Systems,purpose is to provide the reader with the necessary background for the results presented throughout subsequent chapters. Since most of the results given in this chapter are standard in the nonlinear systems and control literature, they are given here without proofs. For detailed proofs, the reader is referred to the classic books [126, 148].
