Principles of Planar Mechanical System Modeling, systems can be expressed in terms of either Newton’s law for translational and rotational motions or the d’Alembert principle. The concepts will be demonstrated by means of a number of practical examples, such as a crane crab system and an inverted pendulum. Toward the end of the chapter, we shall discuss electromechanical transducers.
