Shape Feature,Modern content-based image retrieval techniques use visual features derived directly from the content of the image. Shape is an important visual feature of an image that can be used for efficient image retrieval. In this chapter, various shape features are introduced, which can be used in deriving a feature vector for CBIR techniques.
