The Benchmark Is Still Current Behavior,form for an active stereo system. We demonstrate that typical variations in camera intrinsic parameters do not much affect the epipolar geometry in the image. This motivates us to calibrate the camera intrinsic parameters approximately and then to use the calibration results to compute the epipolar geometry directly in real time.

Keeping it Fresh: Fridges and Freezers,on the .. Furthermore, planar projective invariants can be measured which link together the subparts, and so we can develop a local-global description for general trihedral polyhedra. We demonstrate the recovery of polyhedral shape descriptions from images by exploiting the local-global nature of the invariants.

Moreover, we show that this approach can handle difficult situations for 3. scene analysis, e.g., where there is only a small set of parallax vectors, and in the presence of independently moving objects.
