Perceptually consistent segmentation of texture using multiple channel filter,akes into account the rate of change of texture scale and orientation. The method extracts scale and orientation information from the outputs of a set of Gabor filters, and use them to group image patches into perceptually uniform texture regions.

Scale and rotation invariant recognition method using higher-order local autocorrelation features o with a simple classifier which uses linear discriminant analysis, we can design a scale and rotation invariant recognition system. Robustness to the scalings and rotations are confirmed by experiments on 2D shapes and face recognition. Robustness to the changes of backgrounds is also confirmed by experiments on face recognition.
