A Call for a Single Payer Model?,nt of the 3-D problem and some of its characteristics, and an algorithm for recovering a surface from shadows. Experimental results are presented and discussed for both real data and synthetic data with associated ground truth.

Integrating faces and fingerprints for personal identification, system is more reliable than the identity established by a face recognition system. In addition, the proposed decision fusion schema enables performance improvement by integrating multiple cues with different confidence measures. Experimental results demonstrate that our system performs very well.

Sign of surface curvature from shading images using neural network,e values of surface gradient for each point. The entire approach is non-parametric, empirical in that no explicit assumptions are made about light source directions or surface reflectance. Results are demonstrated by the experiments for real images.

Adaptive color-image embeddings for database navigation,ddings group similar images together, away from dissimilar ones, the user can refine the query in a perceptually intuitive way. By iterating this process, the user can quickly navigate to the portion of the image space of interest.
