Real-Time Plane Segmentation and Obstacle Detection of 3D Point Clouds for Indoor Sceneseen proven to be a fast segmentation method with high accuracy. The experimental results demonstrate that our method can segment planes and detect obstacles in real-time with high accuracy for indoor scenes.

Viewpoint Invariant Matching via Developable Surfacesures directly in the “wall paper” of the scene. This allows viewpoint invariant matching also in scenes with curved architectural elements or with objects like bottles, cans or (partial) cones and others. We prove the usefulness of our approach using several real world scenes with different objects.

Combining Monocular Geometric Cues with Traditional Stereo Cues for Consumer Camera Stereo optimization to encourage the intersections of hypothesized planes to coincide with observed image lines. We show through our results on stereo pairs of manmade structures captured outside of the lab that our algorithm exploits the advantages of both approaches to infer a better depth map of the scene.
