Supervisory control of manufacturing systems,cal programming language approach (Chapter 6) to modeling provides the basis for modeling and developing software for sequential control, where the states of the process change in discrete instances of time. In both of these chapters we limited our attention to unit operations, such as machines and batch process equipment.
