Data Assimilation in Volcano Deformation Using Fast Finite Element Analysis with High Fidelity Modelent in observation networks, data assimilation of internal magma state using time-history crustal deformation data observed at the surface is expected to be suitable for solving such problems. Using finite-element methods capable of modeling complex geometry is desirable for modeling the three-dimen

Optimization and Local Time Stepping of an ADER-DG Scheme for Fully Anisotropic Wave Propagation in our best knowledge, SeisSol is one of the few open-source codes that offer this feature for simulations at petascale performance and beyond. We employ a Discontinuous Galerkin (DG) method with arbitrary high-order derivative (ADER) time stepping. Here, we present a novel implementation of fully phy

Granulation-Based Reverse Image Retrieval for Microscopic Rock Imagestures of the rock. These features are understood as the sizes and shapes of its components and the mutual relationships between them. The proposed detection methodology is an adaptive and unsupervised method that analyzes characteristic color clusters in the image. It achieves good detection results

Simulation of Neurotransmitter Flow in Three Dimensional Model of Presynaptic Boutoned by using partial differential equation with nonlinear term. The bouton is modeled as a distorted geosphere and the mitochondrion inside it as a highly modified cuboid. The quality of the mesh elements is examined. The changes of the amount of neurotransmitter during exocytosis are simulated.
