The Use of Electrochemical Techniques to Monitor Complexation Capacity Titrations in Natural Watersvity. Complexation by natural organic matter is a major feature of the speciation of certain trace metals and is widely studied by complexation capacity titrations. The theory of such titrations is well-documented (Shuman and Woodward 1973, 1977).

Chromatographic Separation for the Measurement of Strong and Moderately Strong Complexing Capacity iThe technique I am going to describe for measuring complexing ability is unique in that it is capable of rapidly measuring the quantities of both strong and intermediate strength ligands. As such it should be a useful tool for investigating changes in metal binding ability that accompany, preceed, or follow changes in primary productivity of lakes.
