Rui Moreira,Gordon Blair,Eurico Carrapatoso concerns. ATLAS I provides sub-microsecond cut-through latency, and (optional) back-pressure (credit-based) flow control which . drops ATM cells. The architecture of ATLAS I has been fully specified and the design of the chip is well under progress. ATLAS I will be fabricated by SGS Thomson, Crolles, France, in 0.5 .m CMOS technology.

Software Engineering for Absolute BeginnersANSI C++. This implementation consists of a code preprocessor and a runtime library, and supports applications developed in C or C++. The runtime environment is capable of supporting tens to hundreds of thousands of threads. We also present some performance measurements on the costs of basic thread operations and thread migration.

A deadlock avoidance method for computer networks,ing interpartition edges to eliminate cycles. The method is applicable to a variety of network topologies including bidirectional multistage networks (BMIN), hypercubes, meshes, and irregular networks. In comparison to other algorithms, the method produces fewer or same number of turn restrictions on a set of benchmark networks.
