Book 2019f citation dynamics. This stochastic model of citation dynamics is based on a well-known copying or recursive search mechanism. The measurements covered in this text yield parameters of the model and reveal that citation dynamics of scientific papers is not linear, as was previously assumed. This no

Citation Dynamics of Individual Papers: Model Calibration, to focus more closely on the network aspect of citation dynamics and to consider not only the nearest neighbors of each paper in the citation network, but its next-nearest neighbors as well. The updated model takes into account the correlations between citation dynamics of a paper and its neighbors (network assortativity).

https://doi.org/10.1007/978-3-642-13276-6eir citation dynamics. This model represents citation dynamic of a paper as a self-exciting stochastic process (Hawkes process). We demonstrate that the mean-field approximation of this probabilistic model yields the age distribution of references, as expected.

Power-Law Citation Distributions are Not Scale-Free, show that although citation distribution can look as a power-law dependence, it is not scale-free and there is a hidden dynamic scale associated with the onset of runaways. We show that our model of citation dynamics based on copying/redirection/triadic closure accounts for these issues fairly well.

Book 2019s for a quantitative probabilistic prediction of citation dynamics of individual papers and of the overall journal impact factor. This book appeals to students and researchers from differing subject areas working in network science and bibliometrics..
