Transport and Transformation Processes important processes are transport, e.g. flowing with a river and reaction, e.g. photodegradation. We now will consider these processes in more detail. At first, the physical transport processes of diffusion, ad/convection and dispersion are described, followed by chemical reaction processes.

Model for Food Chains.vegetation → rabbit → hawk.vegetation → cow → milk → (mother → milk) → baby.Predators, humans, and in particular babies, are at the top of the food chain. Indeed, mother’s milk is in many cases more contaminated than food (e.g. with chloroorganics).

Queens Matter in Early Modern StudiesChemicals are either destroyed by use and thus producing degradation compounds, or released into the sewers and the air, or dumped, or incinerated after use. A small, but increasing fraction is used again (recycled). Compounds released from the technosphere usually enter the biosphere.
