Machine design for precision manufacturing,efficients are expressed explicitly in terms of the physical structure and fixed charge content of the membrane, as well as the properties of the permeant fluid. The model is applied to the hyperfiltration or reverse osmosis mode where salt is rejected as the solution is forced through the membrane under pressure.

Sensors for precision manufacturing,tric membranes on the other hand. Furthermore, the membrane potentials of asymmetric cellulose acetate membranes depend on the boundary conditions and thus on the direction of volume flow. The results can be theoretically treated taking into account the concentration profiles within the porous sublayer of the asymmetric membranes.
