Creative Evolution,ee a corrective to the man’s, and it may well be a mistake to imagine a secret vision lurking behind the published words. These were not modern women without a modern woman’s opportunities, since otherwise their lives would have been intolerable. We should not readily postulate a disturbing gulf between their inner thoughts and their utterances.
