Optimization Calculation of Characteristic Parameters of Gas-steam Combined Cycle System Combusting the calorific value of fuel increases, the thermal efficiency of combined cycle increases. In specific condition, the calculated overall thermal efficiency of gas-steam combined cycle can reach 52.44%. The optimization calculation results show that the utilization of these low calorific value gases is feasible in the practical application.

The Next Generation of USC Technology in Japane of these plants with the advanced USC technology that uses a 700°C class steam temperature in order to increase the thermal efficiency and to reduce CO. emissions. The study showed that the advanced USC Technology is suitable for refurbishing old plants.
