Metabolic Engineering and Synthetic Biology,d by Knudsen, and some original definitions introduced by the authors of the present paper..The adequacy of these definitions is tested considering the global dynamics induced on the phase space of one-dimensional, bi-infinite configurations cellular automata (CA) local rules of arbitrary radius and alphabet.
