Phase Equilibria,lausius–Clapeyron equation is ultimately based on the ideal gas law. Experimental measurements can lead to an equation of similar form, the Antoine equation, with different values for the coefficients. The Antoine equation incorporates the non-ideal characteristics of real substances. These two equations are explored in project PEVPT.
