Book 2004lying physical processes were developed, which were used for the establishment and improvement of analytic as well as numerical methods for predicting multiphase reactors. Thereby, the development, lay-out and scale-up of such processes should be possible on a more reliable basis.

Dynamics of the Flow in Bubble Column Reactors, dispersion coefficient were determined by fitting the model to experimental data. The parameter values determined in this way for one flow mode of the bubble column are shown to be applicable for modelling the other flow modes considered as well. The modelling results were validated by measurement data.
