Alpine Communities,ese areas also show floristic relationships. Boreal mountain floras originated from the arcto-tertiary flora which included many of our present species. During the last glaciation these mountains were in direct communication with the arctic vegetation as is still the case for the Rocky Mountains, the Scandinavian mountains and the Urals.
