Stefan Ewert,Detlef Jahn,Hubertus BuchsteinBeraldo, Araujo and Mares-Guia (1966) described an esterase in rat urine that releases kinin from plasma and causes contraction of rat uterus apparently independent of a substrate in the uterus. The possible presence of a similar enzyme in the pancreatic juice was investigated in the present paper.

https://doi.org/10.1007/978-3-658-17615-0In a previous paper an esterase presenting kinin-like forming activity and oxytocic action was described in rat urine. The oxytocic action appears to be independent of the presence of a substrate in the uterus (Beraldo, Araujo and Mares Guia, 1966).
