Boolean Functions Without Boolean Operators,e present chapter stochastic aspects will be precluded. Even today practical workers in many fields who apply Boolean functions are easily frustrated by the very idea of working without Boolean operators. The following remarks will show that this concept is not quite so awkward as one may suspect initially.

Appendix: Probability Theory Refresher, of the applied theory of stochastics (theories of random events, variables, and processes) are reviewed, mostly without proofs in the framework of measure theory, but just made plausible by the pseudo heuristics usual and useful in engineering and operations research. Good references for engineers are [26], [27], [28], [54].
