Various sources of stem cells, such as bone marrow- and adipose tissue-derived stem cells, have been applied with promising results. Stem Cell Therapy for Avascular Femoral Head Necrosis: From Preclinical to Clinical Study,the late stage of AVNFH. Currently, AVNFH is treated with stem cells. Various sources of stem cells, such as bone marrow- and adipose tissue-derived stem cells, have been applied with promising results. This chapter reviews and summarizes some of the results of AVNFH treatment by stem cell transplantation from preclinical study to the clinic.

The Role of Bone Marrow-Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells in Sports Injuries,asive aspiration, their proliferation rate in vitro is adequate and they preserve their potential for differentiation. Research so far has been mainly limited to small animals. Application and testing on large animals and humans are necessary.
