Challenging Problems in Bluff Body Wakesdominant feature of the wake flow. The use of CFD to study low Reynolds number bluff body wakes is discussed. Also similarities between vortex shedding in steady flows and in planar oscillatory flows are pointed out.

Boundary Condition Influence on the Flow Around a Circular Cylinder at a reasonable distance from the cylinder, radiative boundary conditions produce results which compare well with the experimental observations, also if the external boundary is quite close to the cylinder.

Magnetohydrodynamic Flow Around a Circular Cylinderurrent in the fluid. This current in turn leads (due to its interaction with the magnetic field) to an electromagnetic body force acting on the fluid. In addition the induced current yields a small perturbation of the external magnetic field.

Development of Vortex Structure Behind a Circular Disk until the steady state wake oscillation was established. The velocity time traces in the wake taken with a LDV were analyzed using a wavelet analysis technique, and time scales of vortical structures were identified and correlated with the flow visualizations.

End Effect on a Yawed Circular Cylinder in Uniform Flowsing yaw angle. The pressure behind the cylinder decreases greatly towards the upstream endplate of the cylinder, although there is a strong wedge-shaped recovery of pressure in the region near the rear stagnation. The strong secondary flow behind the yawed circular cylinder is responsible for the recovery region.

Frequently hypercyclic operatorsre proposed. Thus, for the case taken as reference, namely Al=5, three different zones are differenciated along the span of the cylinder and their modifications with the variation of the aspect ratio are established as well as that of the vortex shedding process.
