Depth Recovery Through Linear Algebra,Red and green photoreversible phenomena have been extensively studied in cyanobacteria. In contrast to the above photobiological phenomena which have relatively longer wavelengths of light, very little has been reported on the effects of shorter wavelengths. In this review, I will focus on the following two subjects:

Cryptochrome, Some Terminological ThoughtsFrom the beginning of the investigation of responses of plants to blue light there was the dilemma that a proper expression for the photoreceptor did not exist. The term “blue-UV light photoreceptor” is rather long-winded, particularly when contrasted with the attractive term “phytochrome” for red light-triggered photomorphogenic responses.

Orange/Yellow Pigments in the Basidiomycete , (Jacq. ex. Fr.) Kummerporophore development and then reveal orange or yellow colorations [4]. A relation between color formation and photomorphogenesis in this mushroom was assumed. This paper describes investigations on the conditions for production and on the isolation of the respective pigments.

Photogeotropism of Phycomyces: Evidence for More Than One Photoreceptor1], an observed unexpected responsivity to orange-red light in these papers was interpreted as contribution of an unknown pigment and not as a direct triplet excitation. This is in agreement with the observation that 605 nm light given simultaneously with 450 nm light, can reduce the effect of blue light with respect to PGT [6].
