Production, Purification, and Characterization of Cellulase as Biotic Elicitorulase enzymes have made it possible to apply them as biotic elicitors against various plant pathogens. Furthermore, the protocols for the characterization of cellulase facilitate researchers to make reasonable decisions during investigations in the plant-pathogen interaction arena.

The glucan is extracted using the solvent precipitation technique and purified using Sephadex G-100 column chromatography. The purified glucan can be characterized using TLC, FT-IR, particle size analyzer, and NMR and evaluated for its role as a bio-elicitor.
