The figures illustrate the dimensions of the problem and the large number of sites requiring prioritization, further detailed investigations and potential remediation. These contaminated sites present a hazard and potential risk not only to human health but also to ecosystems and natural resources such as ground water, soil and land area.

Structure of the Nucleus (Light Nuclei),microbial processes. Only by demonstrating that there is a potential for microbial transformation of the contaminating chemical, as well as that biodegradation is occurring in situ, can one have confidence that bioremediation is occurring.
